Abstract:
Provided are a drive control device, an electronic device, a drive control program, and a drive control method which are capable of providing good tactile sensation. The drive control device drives a vibration element of an electronic device that comprises: a display unit, a top panel which is disposed on the display surface side of the display unit and which has an operating surface, a coordinate detection unit which detects the coordinates of the location on the operating surface where an operation has been performed, and the vibration element, which causes vibration of the operating surface. The drive control device comprises: a data storage unit which stores fundamental waveform data representing a fundamental waveform that is formed by a predetermined number of time-series amplitude values and that represents time variations in the amplitude of a drive signal for causing natural vibrations of the operating surface at ultrasonic frequencies; a waveform generation unit which generates first waveform data representing a first waveform obtained by changing the frequency or amplitude of the fundamental waveform data; a waveform synthesis unit which generates first synthesized waveform data representing a synthesized waveform obtained by combining the first waveform with the fundamental waveform; and a drive control unit which drives the vibration element by varying the amplitude of the drive signal on the basis of the first synthesized waveform data.
