Abstract:
Provided is a drive control device for a movable body able to increase the amount of regeneration without impeding braking by a driver or causing excessive deceleration. The drive control device for a movable body updates the regeneration pattern of a motor for driving the movable body that is provided with a brake which generates braking force in response to the amount by which a brake pedal is pressed, wherein the drive control device is provided with an external environment data obtaining unit for obtaining external environment data, and a braking detection unit for detecting whether the brake is ON or OFF, and if the braking detection unit detects that the brake is ON, then the regeneration pattern is changed only so that the braking distance is reduced on the basis of the external environment data obtained by the external environment data obtaining unit.
