Abstract:

This drive control device comprises: a drive velocity detection unit which detects the drive velocity of a host vehicle; an object detection unit which detects an object in the periphery of the host vehicle and acquires the object detection result; a collision time computation unit which computes the time to collision between the object and the host vehicle on the basis of the drive velocity and the object detection result; and an alert unit which carries out an alert to the driver on the basis of the time to collision. The alert unit: acquires a preset reference alert commencement time as a reference value of the time at which the alert commences and a preset prescribed distance as the minimum value of error in the driver's distance perception; adds a time which is the result of dividing the prescribed distance by the drive velocity to the reference alert commencement time and derives an alert operation commencement threshold time; and carries out the alert to the driver on the basis of the alert operation commencement threshold time and the time to collision.
