Abstract:
Provided is a drive control device capable of extending the service life of a filter capacitor and a discharging resistor. The drive control device is provided with: a power conversion unit (32) for converting electric power, which is supplied from a catenary line (1) via a collector (2) and a breaker (5), and supplying the electricity to an electric motor (13); a filter capacitor (7) that is provided on the input side of the power conversion unit (32); a discharge unit (8) for causing the filter capacitor (7) to discharge; and a discharge control unit (11) for controlling the discharge unit (8). The discharge control unit (11) controls the discharge unit (8) so as to cause the filter capacitor (7) to discharge on the basis of a state signal and electric car speed information, said state signal indicating an open/closed state of the breaker (5).
