Abstract:
This drive device is equipped with an inverter for outputting voltage to a coil, a connection switching unit for switching the state of connection of the coil between a Y connection and a delta connection, and a control device. The control device stops inverter output when the coil connection state is the Y connection and the inverter current value reaches a first threshold A, or when the coil connection state is the delta connection and said current value reaches a second threshold B. The first threshold A and the second threshold B satisfy B<√3×A.
