Abstract:
Disclosed is a highly-rigid drive device which is capable of enduring the stress applied from the reaction which occurs when an arm unit is driven. Also disclosed is a conveyance device provided with the drive device. A drive device (50) is provided with a frame (60) and an actuator (70) mounted on the frame (60). The frame (60) is integrally molded by casting. The frame (60) has: a connecting section (61) which can be connected to the partition of a conveyance chamber; a base section (62) which is provided facing the connecting section (61) as a facing section; and a plurality of coupling sections (63) which couple the connecting section (61) and the base section (62). The actuator (70) is provided with: three coaxial shafts (75) (two rotational shafts (71,72) and one pivot shaft (73)); three motors (74); and a transmission mechanism which transmits the drive force from the rotation of the three motors (74) to the three shafts (75). The integral molding of the frame (60) imparts the drive device (50) with high rigidity.
