Abstract:
A drive device for a compressor is provided with: an inverter circuit (51) constituted from a plurality of switching elements (SW1, SW2, …, SW6); a drive unit (53) for switching the plurality of switching elements; a determination unit (S113) for determining whether the pressure difference between the fluid inlet side and the fluid discharge side of the compressor is at or above a prescribed value when the compressor is restarted after being stopped; and a restart unit (S117, S118, S119, S118A, S119A) for setting the number of switches per unit time of the plurality of switching elements during an initial prescribed amount of time when the restart of the compressor is started, and controlling the drive unit. When the determination unit has determined that the pressure difference is at or above the prescribed value, the restart unit sets the number of switches per unit time of the plurality of switching units to be less than when the determination unit has determined that the pressure difference is below the prescribed value.
