Abstract:
A drive device of an embodiment of the present invention is provided with an arm, an operation target, and an impelling unit. One end of the arm is supported by a support mechanism and includes an electric drive source. The operation target is attached to the other end of the arm that is an end opposite the one end, and can be rotated by the drive source about a rotational axis intersecting with the direction from one end to the other end. A brake unit locks a target gear when the supply of power to the drive source is stopped, the target gear being disposed on the arm and rotating along with the rotation of the operation target.
