Abstract:
Provided is a drive device for a vehicle, said drive device being provided with a manual transmission and a manual clutch, and making it possible to suppress the occurrence of engine stalling and engine noise when the vehicle is starting. This drive device for a vehicle is configured to have: a clutch stroke speed computation unit that computes a clutch stroke speed Spc, which is the amount of change of a clutch stroke Stc per unit time; a target engine torque computation unit that computes, on the basis of the clutch stroke Stc and the clutch stroke speed Spc, a target engine torque Teg when starting the vehicle; and an engine control unit that controls an engine 2 such that the engine torque Te generated by the engine when starting the vehicle constitutes the target engine torque Teg.
