A drive device comprising a housing (11) and an electromagnetic clutch mechanism (14) stored in the housing. The electromagnetic clutch mechanism (14) comprises an armature (41) rotatably supported on the housing (11), a rotor (42) disposed oppositely to the armature (41) and rotatably supported on the housing (11), and a coil (46). An annular magnet (44) is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the rotor (42). A sensor (15) disposed in the housing (11) detects the change of the polarity of the magnet (44) according to the rotation of the rotor (42). The magnet (44) comprises an annular wall part (44b) radially extending to the armature (41) side beyond the contact surface of the armature (41) on the rotor (42), and the annular wall part (44b) is separated from the armature (41) in the radial outer direction. The annular wall part (44b) suppresses the dispersion of abrasive powder produced by the operation of the electromagnetic clutch mechanism (14).
