Abstract:
A drive device (100) for a vehicle, provided with: a motor (102) connected to a wheel (W) so as to allow transmission of power; a clutch (CL) provided on the power transmission path between the motor (102) and the wheel (W), the clutch (CL) being capable of modifying the power transmission capacity of the power transmission path by controlling the fastening force; a motor control device (108a) for controlling the power generated by the motor (102); a fastening force control device (108b) for controlling the fastening force of the clutch (CL); and a fastening force acquisition means (104) for acquiring the fastening force of the clutch (CL). Upon receiving a request for generation of power while the motor (102) is not generating power, the motor control device (108b) controls the allowing and/or the disallowing of the generation of power by the motor (102) on the basis of: the current fastening force of the clutch (CL); and the required fastening force, which is the fastening force of the clutch (CL) required to transmit the maximum generated power of the motor (102) in the current rotation state quantity for the motor (102).
