Abstract:
Provided is a small drive motor enabling both weight lightening and high power output including high-speed rotation. The present invention is a drive motor (50) rotating in a predetermined direction. The present invention is provided with a rotor (52) which does not have a magnet but has a plurality of salient pole parts (52b). A stator core (60) has a plurality of core elements (61) and a plurality of magnets (62). Each salient pole part (52b) has a slit (52c; or an example of a gap (second air gap)) formed therein. Each salient pole part (52b) has, at the front of the slit (52C) with respect to the rotating direction, a big magnetic circuit part (52d; first magnetic circuit part) having a large cross-sectional area, and has, at the back of the slit (52C) with respect to the rotating direction, a small magnetic circuit part (52e; second magnetic circuit part) having a small cross-sectional area.
