Abstract:
This drive torque control method is applied upon switching of a vehicle from a driven state to a driving state, and involves: dividing, when a switching request is generated, a period until the backlash of a drive system gear is narrowed down in a direction opposite to a previous direction, into two phases including a first phase that is a period in which a rotation axis of the drive system gear is twisted due to torque in the driven state and a second phase that is a period after the twist is removed; setting, on the basis of coast torque which is torque in the driven state, drive torque of a drive source to be increased in the first phase; and setting, independently of the coast torque, drive torque of the drive source to be increased in the second phase so that the amount of increase per unit of time in the second phase becomes smaller than that in the first phase.
