Abstract:
A drive unit for a battery forklift truck, which does not require a large space near the drive unit to place a brake and thereby the drive unit and its surrounding space are compact. To achieve the above, a wet brake part is disposed in a space that is formed on the inside of a second gear installed in the drive case of the drive unit. The wet brake part has inner disks that are attached to the second gear at their entire inner peripheral surfaces, outer disks that are attached to the drive case at their entire outer peripheral surfaces and that face the inner disks, and a pressure plate that presses the inner disks and the outer disks thatface each other.
