Abstract:
This drive unit comprises: a rotary electric machine which includes a rotor and a stator and which has a rotary axis parallel to a first direction; and a power conversion device which outputs alternating-current power to the rotary electric machine. The rotary electric machine and the power conversion device are arranged side by side in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The power conversion device is provided with: a first flow path inlet for taking in a refrigerant from the outside; a first refrigerant flow path for cooling the power conversion device through use of the refrigerant; a first flow path outlet serving as a supply port for supplying the refrigerant from the power conversion device to the rotary electric machine; and a power terminal for supplying power to the rotary electric machine. The first flow path outlet is opened in the second direction, and the power terminal extends in the second direction. The rotary electric machine is provided with: a second refrigerant flow path through which the refrigerant flows to thereby cool the rotary electric machine; a second flow path inlet which is connected to the first flow path outlet and which introduces the refrigerant into the second refrigerant flow path; and a terminal connection portion to which the power terminal is connected. The second flow path inlet is opened in the second direction and connected to the first flow path outlet, and the power terminal is connected to the terminal connection portion along the second direction.
