Abstract:
Provided is a drive unit having an electric unit comprising a first electric motor for driving, a deceleration mechanism that transmits the rotational torque of the first electric motor to a drive wheel, a second electric motor that is driven by an internal combustion engine to generate electricity, and an acceleration mechanism that transmits the rotational torque of the internal combustion engine to the second electric motor, wherein the first electric motor, the deceleration mechanism, the second electric motor, and the acceleration mechanism are accommodated in one housing, the respective rotating shafts of the first electric motor and the second electric motor in the housing are aligned in the vehicle body front-rear direction in a parallel state, the deceleration mechanism and the acceleration mechanism are aligned in the vehicle body front-rear direction, the internal combustion engine and the electric unit are connected while aligned in the vehicle body left-right direction, and a first rotating shaft that is the rotating shaft of the first electric motor and a second rotating shaft that is the rotating shaft of the second electric motor are positioned on the front side and the rear side in the vehicle body front-rear direction with a crankshaft rotating shaft sandwiched therebetween that is the rotating shaft of a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine.
