Abstract:
This driver assistance system is characterized by being provided with: an other vehicle information acquisition unit which acquires travel direction information of another vehicle; a storage unit which associates and stores a point at which visibility is reduced for a driver riding in a vehicle, with direction information that corresponds to the point and that regards the direction in which visibility is reduced for the driver of the vehicle; a visibility determination unit which determines whether the visibility of the driver riding in the other vehicle is reduced, on the basis of the other vehicle travel direction information acquired by the other vehicle information acquisition unit and the direction information stored in the storage unit on the direction in which visibility is reduced; and a warning processing unit which warns a driver of an own vehicle that the visibility of the driver riding in the other vehicle is reduced if the visibility determination unit has determined that the visibility of the driver riding in the other vehicle is reduced.
