Abstract:
The present technology pertains to a driver circuit that enables a signal output having an amplitude large enough for long-distance transmission to be realized with low power consumption, a method for controlling the driver circuit, and a transmission/reception system. The driver circuit is provided with: a current-driving circuit that outputs a prescribed current; and a terminating resistance circuit that is connected in parallel to the current-driving circuit, wherein the terminating resistance circuit connects a terminating resistor to a transmission line when the current-driving circuit is outputting the current, and separates the terminating resistor from the transmission line when the current-driving circuit is not outputting current. For example, the present technology can be applied to a driver circuit, or the like that outputs a signal to a long-distance transmission line.
