Abstract:
The objective of the invention is to provide a technique capable of achieving an appropriate turn-on speed. This driver device comprises: a gate-driving-circuit power source the output voltage of which can be changed; a power source that has a fixed voltage lower than the output voltage; a control unit that changes the output voltage of the gate-driving-circuit power source on the basis of information related to the load current of a semiconductor switching element; and a delay circuit that, when a gate driving signal is turned on, performs a control of suppling the fixed voltage to the gate of the semiconductor switching element for a predetermined time period and thereafter performs a control of suppling the output voltage to the gate.
