Abstract:
A driver monitor device comprises: a plurality of light sources (4) that irradiate respective lights toward a driver seat; an image capture unit (5) that is disposed at a position allowing the image capture unit to shoot a driver sitting on the driver seat; a driver detection unit (6) that detects, on the basis of the information of an image captured by the image capture unit, the position of the face or the positions of the eyes of the driver; a light source determination unit (7) that determines, on the basis of a result of the detection by the driver detection unit, those ones of the plurality of light sources which can illuminate the area of the face or eyes of the driver; and a light source control unit (8) that controls the light sources such that the light sources determined by the light source determination unit irradiate lights, while the other light sources are put off or dimmed.
