Abstract:
Provided is a driver status monitor that can reduce the occurrence of errors in calculating the orientation of a driver's face. The driver status monitor of one embodiment of the present invention is provided with the following: a face image acquisition unit (5) that is attached to an variable angle member (103) and acquires a face image that includes the driver's face (105A); a first face-orientation calculation unit (11) that calculates face orientation; an angle calculation unit (11) that calculates an angle (A) of the face image acquisition unit with respect to the vehicle body on the basis of detection signals from a first acceleration sensor (7) that detects the angle of the face image acquisition unit with respect to a prescribed reference direction and a second acceleration sensor (9) that detects the angle of the vehicle body with respect to the reference direction; and a second face orientation calculation unit (11) that performs correction using the angle (A) and calculates face orientation with respect to the vehicle body.
