Abstract:
This driving assistance apparatus (2) is installed in a first vehicle (A1) and is provided with the following: a situation determination unit (25a) that determines whether or not the first vehicle is in a situation in which either said first vehicle or a nearby vehicle needs to give way to the other; a target-vehicle specification unit (26a) that specifies a target vehicle, namely a second vehicle (A2) that needs to give way to the first vehicle or that the first vehicle needs to give way to; an action-plan specification unit (27a) that, if the situation determination unit has determined that the first vehicle is in a situation in which either said first vehicle or the second vehicle needs to give way to the other, specifies action-plan content for the first vehicle in the situation in question; a transmission unit (23a) that transmits the action-plan content specified by the action-plan specification unit to the second vehicle; a reception unit (24a) that receives, from the second vehicle, acceptance/rejection information that indicates whether the aforementioned action-plan content was accepted or rejected; and a notification unit (32a) that, on the basis of the received acceptance/rejection information, issues a notification indicating whether or not the action-plan content was accepted by the driver of the second vehicle.
