Abstract:
　 Provided is a driving assistance apparatus that measures the position and the direction of movement of objects present in the periphery of a vehicle equipped with the driving assistance apparatus. The driving assistance apparatus performs driving assistance processes for the vehicle in cases where the positions of the measured objects are within a decision area provided in the periphery of the vehicle. The driving assistance apparatus, on the basis of the direction of movement of the measured objects, corrects the decision area in the direction of the measured objects when it is determined the objects are moving toward the decision area.
