Abstract:
A driving assistance device according to the present disclosure comprises: a prediction error calculation unit which calculates a prediction error which is the difference between a prediction image predicted from a vehicle-traveling-direction image captured by a vehicle-outside camera for imaging the surroundings of the vehicle, and an actual image in which an actual state is imaged; an attention state estimation unit which, on the basis of the prediction error, estimates the attention state of the driver of the vehicle; and an output control unit which, on the basis of the attention state, outputs driving assistance information which encourages a more suitable attention state for the driving at that time, and/or a change in behavior and/or consciousness to a driving operation.
