Abstract:
Provided is a driving assistance device characterized in comprising travel route information acquisition means for acquiring a plurality of items of travel route information having different recognition ranges, and path creation means for creating a path for a vehicle using a plurality of items of travel route information according to a travel environment. According to the invention, a plurality of items of travel route information having different recognition ranges; e.g., a large-area map (1), a medium-area map (2), and a local map (3), are used according to the travel environment to create a path, whereby the vehicle can travel safely.
