Provided is a driving assistance device (1) for assisting an occupant in driving, the driving assistance device (1) being provided with: a map acquisition unit (S102) that acquires, in a parking scene, a surrounding space map (6) defining a positional relationship between objects in a surrounding space (4) of a vehicle; an advance determination unit (S103) that determines, on the basis of the surrounding space map, whether or not to allow the vehicle to advance in the parking scene; a stationary object identification unit (S104, S2104) that identifies, in the surrounding space map, a stationary object (4c, 4cs) among the objects present in the surrounding space; an origin setting unit (S105, S2110, S3116) that sets, on the stationary object, a virtual coordinate origin (Cv) of the surrounding space map; a guide generation unit (S106, S2111, S3117) that generates, on the basis of the surrounding space map, a guide (7) for guiding the vehicle; and a steering assistance unit (S107, S3114) that assists in steering the vehicle when it is determined that the vehicle is allowed to advance.
