To reduce unnecessary driving assistance and avoid missing occasions where driving assistance is necessary, provided is a driving assistance device (1) comprising: an external device communication means (11) for receiving mobile body information from a mobile body (3) outside of the host vehicle (HV) using wireless communication; a left/right turn determination means (12) for determining a right turn or a left turn by the host vehicle (HV) on the basis of host vehicle information acquired by a host vehicle information acquisition means (10); a left/right turn location forecast means (13) for computing a location whereat the host vehicle turns right or left on the basis of the host vehicle information and obtaining a forecast location; a collision determination means (14) for determining whether the host vehicle (HV) will collide with the mobile body (3) using the host vehicle information, the mobile body information received by the external device communication means (11), and the forecast location obtained by the left/right turn location forecast means (13); and a driving assistance means (15) for assisting with the driving of the host vehicle (HV) on the basis of the result of the collision determination determined by the collision determination means (14).
