Abstract:
A driving assistance device 60 performs an assistance control to assist the travel of a vehicle 10 by causing the vehicle body speed to track a target vehicle body speed by adjusting the drive force and braking force of the vehicle 10. The driving assistance device 60 is provided with a target vehicle body speed setting unit M12 that sets the target vehicle body speed. The driving assistance device 60 is provided with a disturbance detection unit M13 that detects a disturbance part present in a travel path. If the disturbance part is not being detected, the target vehicle body speed setting unit M12 adjusts the target vehicle body speed in accordance with an accelerating operation amount that is the amount of operation of an accelerating operation member 14 operated by the driver of the vehicle 10. On the other hand, if the disturbance part is being detected, the target vehicle body speed setting unit M12 does not reflect the accelerating operation amount on the target vehicle body speed.
