Abstract:
A driving assistance device (1) comprises a sensor (camera 10) that detects physical objects in front of a host vehicle, and a controller (20). The controller (20) sets a detection range for the sensor (camera 10), and when the host vehicle is stopped, the controller (20) expands the detection range in the vehicle width direction as compared to when the host vehicle is traveling while following a preceding vehicle.
