Abstract:
A driving assistance system, provided with: an onboard device mounted in a vehicle, the device performing automatic driving using sensing information detected by a sensor; and a center (2) for communicating with the onboard device. The onboard device is provided with a sensing information acquisition unit. The onboard device and the center is provided with an evaluation unit (23) for evaluating the detection performance of the sensor on the basis of the sensing information. The center is provided with a region specification unit (25) for specifying, for each of a plurality of vehicles, a decrease region in which the detection performance of the sensor decreases, the specifying being performed from the detection performance of the sensor evaluated by the evaluation unit on the basis of the sensing information, and the position at which the sensing information was detected. The onboard device is configured to stop the automatic driving when the host vehicle is positioned in the decrease region specified by the region specification unit.
