Abstract:
This driving assistance system (1, 1a) is equipped with: a captured image acquisition unit (12) which acquires a rear image captured by a rear camera (2) that captures the image of a region including a hitch (D) in the rear of a tow vehicle; and a display processing unit (15) which superimposes, on the rear image acquired by the captured image acquisition unit (12), a pair of left and right path prediction lines (A) and a plurality of distance reference lines (B) provided for each distance spaced from the tow vehicle so as to show a superimposed image on a display (6). The display processing unit (15) superimposes the display in such a manner that the distance reference lines (B) are separated into right and left so as to prevent the distance reference lines (B) from being superimposed on the region corresponding to the prediction path of the hitch (D). The display processing unit (15) also superimposes the display in such a manner that the end regions (C) of the left and right distance reference lines (B) are inclined in the zenithal direction up to the height of the hitch (D) so as to show the height of the hitch (D) of the tow vehicle.
