Abstract:
One mode of embodiment of a driving assistance unit is provided with a transmission processing unit (253) which uses vehicle-to-vehicle communication to transmit vehicle information including location information for the subject vehicle, the position of which has been measured using a satellite positioning system. The driving assistance unit is provided with a degradation-detecting unit (252) which detects whether the positioning accuracy of the location information of the subject vehicle, the position of which has been measured using the satellite positioning system, is degraded. If the degradation-detecting unit has detected that the positioning accuracy is degraded, the transmission processing unit prevents at least the location information from being transmitted.
