The present application provides a driving control method and apparatus, and a household device and a computer readable storage medium. The driving control method comprises: detecting a running current, input to a load, in a power supply signal, and recording an input duration of the running current; and controlling a switch device to operate in a first mode or a second mode according to the running current and the input duration, wherein the first mode is configured as a mode for controlling the cut-off of the switch device, and the second mode is configured as a mode in which the switch device operates according to a specified pulse driving signal, so that the running current in the second mode follows an AC voltage input to the load. According to the technical solution of the present application, the working efficiency of the driving load is improved, and the circuit power consumption and hardware loss are reduced.
