Title:
DRIVING FORCE CONTROL DEVICE FOR STRADDLE-TYPE VEHICLES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/169324
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to provide a driving force control device for straddle-type vehicles that prevents vehicles having a crawl forward and reverse mode from sliding downhill without using a braking device. Provided is a driving force control device for straddle-type vehicles having a transmission (40) that reduces the driving force of an engine (100) by a prescribed reduction ratio and transmits same to a drive wheel (WR) of a motorcycle (1), a clutch device (108) that engages and disengages the driving force between the engine (100) and the transmission (40), and a control device (106) that controls the transmission (40) and the clutch device (108), wherein the control device (106) is configured to be able to select between a normal travel mode in which the reduction ratio of the transmission (40) is changed in accordance with the travel state and a reduced speed mode that allows crawl forward and crawl reverse with a fixed reduction ratio by way of prescribed operation of the transmission (40). When the reduced speed mode is selected and the prescribed operation is not executed, the control device (106) maintains the clutch device (108) in a half clutch state so that the motorcycle (1) does not move forward or backward.
