Abstract:
When focal lengths are discretely set, with respect to a focal length (fr) at the position where the moving direction of a second lens group (G2) or a correction group is inverted, the individual zoom positions are so set that the value of the difference between a focal length (f4) the closest to the focal length (fr) and a next focal length (f5) on the wide end between a focal length (fw) of the second lens group (G2) and the focal length (fr) may be larger than the differences between the remaining adjoining focal. By thus moving directly from the zoom position of the focal length (f4) to the zoom position of the focal length (f5), the moving range (Lm) of the second lens group (G2) can be made smaller than the moving range (Lr) of the case, in which the lens position at the focal length (fr) is set as the zoom position. As a result, the stroke of the lens driving device can be shortened, and a first lens group (G1) can be brought closer to the second lens group (G2), so that the whole length of the zoom lens can be designed to be short.
