Abstract:
An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise: a first housing; a second housing configured to slide relative to the first housing; a display including a first display area disposed on the first housing, and a second display area extending from the first display area, wherein at least a portion of the second display area is configured to roll on the basis of sliding movement of the second housing; and a driving structure configured to provide a driving force for sliding movement of the second housing relative to the first housing. The driving structure may include: a first rack gear (upper rack gear) which includes a first magnetic body fixed to the first housing, and a second magnetic body disposed in the second housing, facing the first magnetic body, and having a polarity opposite to that of the first magnetic body; a second rack gear (lower display rack gear) which is at least partially disposed in parallel with the first rack gear in the second housing and connected to the second display area; and a pinion gear disposed between the first rack gear and the second rack gear and configured to mesh with the first rack gear and the second rack gear. When the second housing slides in a first direction, the first rack gear may move in a second direction opposite to the first direction with respect to the second housing by magnetism, and the second rack gear may move in the first direction with respect to the second housing by rotation of the pinion gear corresponding to the movement of the first rack gear.
