Abstract:
A driving support device having an image sensing device (21), a controller for processing an image captured by the image sensing device, and a monitor for displaying the processed image. The image sensing device (21) is installed above a corner of the vehicle (9) in which the driving assisting device is mounted in such a way that the optical axis (X) of the image sensing device (21) is set in the direction where a corner (90) of the vehicle (9) and at least the vicinity and infinity of the corner are imaged in one image. With this arrangement, the image sensing device (21) provides the driver with information about the blind spot as an image which the driver does not feel strange about the view.
