Abstract:
A driving support device (10) is provided. The driving support device comprises: a driver state detecting unit (120) which detects, as a driver state, that the driver is in a careless state; an alerting unit (140) which, if it has been detected that the driver is in a careless state, issues an alert to the driver; a driving operation unit (500) operated by the driver in order to perform driving operations; and a driving state switching unit (130) which, if it detects that the driving operation unit has been operated by the driver while the vehicle is in an automatic drive state, switches at least one driving operation in said automatic drive state to a manual drive state. If at least one driving operation in the automatic drive state has been switched to the manual drive state by the driving state switching unit, the driver state detecting unit detects, as the driver state, that said driver is in an excited state, and if the driver is detected to be in an excited state, the alerting unit issues an alert to said driver.
