Abstract:
The driving support device (10, 40) is installed in a moving body and gives notification of the approach of the moving body to an object in the surroundings to the driver of the moving body. This driving support device comprises: an environmental information acquisition unit (11, 41) for acquiring environmental information, that is, information which is obtained on the basis of an external environment and/or an internal environment of the moving body and which indicates the visual range of the driver; a distance setting unit (12, 42) for setting a notification distance, that is, the distance at which notification is to be performed, in such a manner that the notification distance increases as the visual range indicated by the environmental information decreases; and a notification control unit (13, 44) for, upon acquiring the distance between the moving body and the object as a detected distance, notifying the driver when the detected distance is smaller than the notification distance.
