Abstract:
Provided is a driving support display device such that in displaying an image taken in a wide range comprising longitudinal, lateral, and downward directions rearward or forward of a vehicle, it is made possible to facilitate the display of a highly visible shape of an imaging object according to a purpose; improvement in visibility pertaining to the directionality and positional relationship with respect to the imaging object and the vehicle; and the movement of eyes with respect to the imaging object moving on a screen. Square imaging objects on a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, a plane perpendicular to the direction downward perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, a plane perpendicular to the left horizontal direction, or a plane perpendicular to the right horizontal direction are displayed as squares or rectangles of the same size in a region which corresponds to the pertinent direction. In this respect, square imaging objects on a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle are displayed in a forward direction corrected image display region (41-1). This forward direction corrected image display region (41-1) and other display regions are disposed adjacent to one another. Images displayed in regions in the vicinity of adjacent sides match with one another. The left and right sides of the forward direction corrected image display region (41-1) are straight lines which match with straight lines perpendicular to a horizontal ground, and the lower side of the forward direction corrected image display region (41-1) matches with a straight line in the lateral direction of the vehicle. Furthermore, the lower side of a leftward corrected image display region (41-3L), the lower side of a rightward corrected image display region (41-3R), the left side of a downward corrected image display region (41-2), and the right side thereof are straight lines which match with vehicle longitudinal straight lines in the same corresponding positions.
