Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an improvement technology pertaining to a driver pressing mechanism for a driving tool for ejecting a drive material by a driver from an ejection port and driving the drive material into a workpiece. [Solution] A nail driving machine (1) is provided with a tool body (10), a flywheel (40), a driver (3), and a pressing mechanism (8). The pressing mechanism (8) is provided with a spring mechanism (88) and a pressing roller (87). The spring mechanism (88) comprises a first spring part (881) and a second spring part (885), and is configured to be displaced in response to a forward movement of the driver (2). The pressing roller (87) is disposed so as to face the driver (3), and presses the driver (3) with a biasing force from the spring mechanism (88) in the process of the forward movement of the driver (3) so as to make it possible for the rotational energy of the flywheel (40) to be transmitted to the driver (3). The spring mechanism (88) overall has a spring constant that varies in accordance with the amount of displacement of the spring mechanism (88) overall.
