Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a novel and improved dross removal device and a dross removal method with which dross on a bath surface can be collected more efficiently using a dross robot.
[Solution] In order to solve this problem a dross removal device according to one aspect of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a dross robot for collecting bath surface dross present on the bath surface of a plating bath; a dross sensor for measuring the intensity of infrared light from the bath surface of the plating bath; a dross sensor control device for identifying the location of the bath surface dross on the basis of an amount of change over time in the intensity of the infrared light; and a dross robot control device for causing the dross robot to collect the bath surface dross at the location identified by the dross sensor control device.
