Abstract:
Drought induced rice flower specific promoter and use thereof are provided. The promoter has nucleotide sequence defined by SEQ ID NO: 1, or nucleotide sequence operable to be hybridized with the DNA sequence defined by SEQ ID NO: 1 under highly strict condition and with the same function. The promoter is a flower tissue-specific promoter and shows certain specificity under drought induction condition. The promoter is useful in culturing male sterile line and maintainer line of rice.
