Abstract:
A drowsiness estimation device comprises a photography unit (1), a per-site temperature computation unit (6), and a weighting subtraction unit (7). The photography unit (1) obtains visible light image data in a visible light photography mode, and obtains, in an infrared photography mode, infrared image data which denotes a body surface temperature distribution of a body image of a subject. The per-site temperature computation unit (6) detects a temperature of a central region of an eye among the body surface temperature distribution which is denoted in the infrared image data. The weighting subtraction unit (7) carries out a correction on a temperature parameter for drowsiness estimation, with the detected temperature of the central region of the eye as a reference. An estimation of a user's drowsiness is thus carried out in accordance with the corrected parameter.
