Abstract:
A drug-coated balloon, comprising a balloon body (1). The entire body of the balloon body (1) is covered with a drug (2), that is, the surface of the balloon body (1) is covered with the drug (2) through 360°. The balloon body (1) has a folded state and an inflated state. In the folded state, a portion of the drug (2) is folded inside without coming into contact with blood vessel walls. In the inflated state, the folded portion of the drug (2) is exposed so as to come into contact with blood vessel walls. A preparation method for the drug-coated balloon involves coating the drug (2) onto the balloon body (1) using iopromide and by extraction and/or ultrasonic spraying. The drug-coated balloon is coated with the drug (2) through 360° such that the entire periphery of blood vessels can receive the drug (2), improving treatment efficacy, and facilitating production.
