Abstract:

Provided are a drug information acquisition device and method which are capable of favorably acquiring drug information including at least appearance information on one package of drugs. In one embodiment of the present invention, a bottom part of imaging trays (110A, 110B) that temporarily hold the drugs for one package is constituted by rows of V-shaped grooves, and by shaking the imaging trays after dispensing the drugs overlapping of the drugs in one package is eliminated and positions of the drugs are corrected by a first inclined face (112A) and a second inclined face (112B) of the V-shaped grooves. Two cameras (130A, 130B) are disposed opposing the first inclined face (112A) and the second inclined face (112B) of the V-shaped grooves (112), respectively, and these cameras image the drugs which are corrected into stable positions on the V-shaped grooves from two directions. By image processing a first image and a second image of the drugs taken from the two directions, drug information including at least the appearance information of the drugs can be favorably acquired.
