Abstract:
The present invention provides: a horizontal drug packing device capable of varying the horizontal width of individually-packaged packages to a variety of types in a state where a positional relationship among a vertical seal formation part, a pill drop hopper, and a horizontal seal formation part is fixed; and a drug packaging device incorporating the same. The present invention is a drug packing device 100 having: a packing paper transport unit; a packing paper transport control unit 200; a packing paper vertical seal formation part 107 which seals packing paper B vertically; a drug hopper 10 provided in a manner allowing advancing and retracting of a top end into and out of the packing paper B which has been opened; and a packing paper horizontal seal formation part 109 which is provided downstream of the drug hopper 10 in a packing paper transport direction and which seals a top end of the packing paper B horizontally, wherein the packing paper transport control unit 200 controls operation of the packing paper transport unit to create individual packages having a width 2W/n by transporting the packing paper B by 2W/n (n being an integer of greater than or equal to 2) at a time, where when W is the maximum seal width, of the top end of the packing paper B, resulting from the packing paper horizontal seal formation part 109, 2W is the distance between the packing paper vertical seal formation part 107 and a rear end section of the packing paper horizontal seal formation part109.
