Abstract:

[Problem] The purpose of the invention is to provide a drug useful in the prophylaxis or treatment of muscle damage. [Solution] The invention relates to a novel pharmaceutical use of an extract from inflamed tissue inoculated with vaccinia virus, and relates to a drug for the prophylaxis or treatment of muscle damage comprising said extract as an active ingredient. This drug for the prophylaxis or treatment of muscle damage including said extract as an active ingredient is extremely useful as a drug having a high level of safety and efficacy.
