Abstract:
Drugs containing as the active ingredient compounds having the following structure. These drugs are provided to develop compounds appropriate as anti-inflammatory agents suitable for topical administration (i.e., anti-inflammatory agents for topical administration) and anti-inflammatory agents suitable for topical administration and appropriate as remedies for asthma, allergic rhinitis and rheumatism. The above compounds are easily metabolizable steroid compounds substituted at the carbon atom at the 21-position by a substituent -X-(saccharide residue)-Y-CZ-R: wherein X represents -O-, -S- or -NH-; Y represents -O-, -S- or -NH-; Z represents =O or =S; and R represents phenyl.
