Abstract:

This drum unit for use in a process cartridge includes: a photosensitive drum that has an axis line L1; and a coupling member that has an axis line L2, that is connected to an end of the photosensitive drum, and that includes a protrusion extending toward an end of the coupling member. The coupling member can move, along the axis line L2, between a first position and a second position at which the protrusion becomes closer to the photosensitive drum than at the first position. The protrusion includes a force receiving part for receiving a rotational force, and an outer surface facing the opposite side of the axis line L2. At least a part of the outer surface is configured such that the distance between the part of the outer surface and the axis line L2 increases as the distance between the part of the outer surface and the photosensitive drum increases in the axis line L1 direction.
